How Turkish Airlines Handles EU261 Claims
Turkish Airlines is Türkiye's flag carrier and one of the world's largest airlines by destinations served. EU261 applies to Turkish Airlines flights only when departing from EU/EEA airports — it does NOT apply to flights departing Istanbul (IST) heading into the EU, as Turkey is not an EU/EEA state and Turkish Airlines is a non-EU carrier. For EU-departure TK flights, claims are enforced by the NEB in the country of departure.
